Following the market's heyday as a location for entertainment companies from the 1930s through the 1950s, many firms relocated to larger and more modernbuildings in Burbank and elsewhere.
They still smack of the Manhattan-style modernbuildings that have been popping up in nearby downtown Brooklyn ever since developers have realized that many of the city's well-heeled jet set live across the East River.
