Machover said there are several aspects, including 16 robotic boxes that can move around on stage by themselves.
"The Royal Academy of Music in London got interested in hyperinstruments and particularly in stringed hyperinstruments, " Machover says.
Machover has also been able to alter how each instrument can be controlled.
Amazing as it is, this is only one strand of Machover's remarkable work.
