For this year's general election, Nevada is the only state where virtually every voting machine has a paper backup that could aid in a machinemalfunction, an audit or a recount.
That means that as well as adding or changing the rules, anyone with the necessary programming skill can modify the software to correct any bugs that may make the machinemalfunction.
So far, this was the lowest point the machine had reached in my opinion (including the malfunction where it stopped moving entirely) and I hope it will not go any lower in the following operas.
