BA, bereft of its standard-bearer, is lookingfor ways to cosset passengers forced to spend seven hours in the air between New York and London, not three and a half.
They are hoping to trace the driver and four passengers of a silver or white hatchback vehicle and are now also lookingfor a black 4x4 vehicle in connection with the attack.
Robert Sumwalt, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board, said an 11-member "go team" would be on the ground in New York for the next five to seven days, interviewing crew members and passengers about the incident, and looking into past incidents and maintenance of the ferry.
