The Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO organizes a coordination meeting for the protection and promotion of the Mediterranean Diet, between the member states which proposed inscription of the element on the UNESCO Representative Listof the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
R.5: The element is inscribed on the National Listof Intangible Cultural Heritage administered by the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture.
The element, inscribed in 2013 on the Representative Listof Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, was jointly proposed by Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Spain and Portugal.
