Washington (CNN) -- The Federal Aviation Administration this week is sending out scores ofletters to small- and medium- size airports nationwide saying the agency may soon close their control towers because of budget cuts, unless they can convince the government that the action will harm the national interest.
Last week, the agency sent letters warning three marketers of mobile apps that provide background checks that they might be violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Hundreds of comment letters for and against them have poured into the agency from individual investors, big brokerage firms, stock and options exchanges, and others.
Officials quoted by Xinhua news agency said employees of a Beijing security firm hired by the Luoyang Letters and Calls bureau had carried out the beating.
Among the evidence the prosecution says it will use against the former agent are letters to and from the Russian intelligence agency, a statement from his Swiss bank account and recordings of his conversations with the Russians.
