Tipton Leisure Centre includes a 25m (82ft) six lane pool, a gymnasium and dance studio.
Keith Williams, Swindon Borough Council cabinet member for leisure, said he was "very excited" the pool was finally reopening.
Proposals for Westbridge Park include redeveloping the existing leisure centre to include a six lane, 25m swimming pool, a gym and children's play areas.

Members were told that closing the pool would save money and was part of a wider plan for council-run leisure centres.
