After making a success of Pangolin, Mr Kingdon and Ms Koenig decided to try to put something back into Uganda.
Mr Kingdon's fascination with bronze dates back to his childhood growing up in Uganda, the son of a noted English zoologist and artist, Jonathan Kingdon.
The main force behind the project is Rungwe Kingdon, who runs the largest bronze foundry of its kind in Europe, together with his wife, Claude Koenig.
