The exhibition of jewelry and other objects that were either inspired by the skies above, made the trip to outer space, created out of materials that originated from heavenly bodies, or built from materials that were created during the space race is now open to the public and will run till September 7 at Forbes Galleries, 60 Fifth Avenue, New York.
The jewelry will be on display at the three permanent Titanic exhibition spaces that are owned and operated by RMS Titanic and Premier Exhibitions, Inc.
Buckingham Palace has just put on the largest-ever exhibition of its main occupant's evening gowns and personal jewelry, featuring everything from figure-hugging dresses from her heyday in the 1940 to the more decorous outfits of the present.
The exhibition will explain why there was a global interest in creating art jewelry at this time and point out the differences and similarities between the influences and the styles of jewelry executed in various countries.
