The Forum, organized by UNESCO, ISESCO and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, will take place at UNESCO Headquarters on 9-10 November 2010.
The Opale Scenari software, which serves as a basis for the workshop, has been translated into Arabic within the framework of the UNESCO-ISESCO project, Miftaah.
This session was co-organized by UNESCO and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in the framework of the 5th Annual Meeting of First Ladies on Enhancing Gender Equality.
Dr. Faiq Billal is Director of Science the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) an affiliated body of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) having its headquarters at Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.
The Committee also appealed on all UNESCO Member States and on the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to provide financial resources to this Fund.
In this context, UNESCO organized a workshop on the Global Microscience Experiments in partnership with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and in collaboration with the Guri Vie Meilleure Foundation, founded by the First Lady of Niger.
The event was attended by French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault , UN Women Executive Director Michelle Bachelet, former President of Finland Tarja Halonen, Director-General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict Leila Zerrougui.
Organized in partnership with ISESCO, the Moroccan Ministry of Education, the engineering School of Mines Albi-Carmaux and the French Technological University of Compiegne, the workshop will be conducted in a form of action-training, and the participants will work on their own pedagogical materials with the objective to transpose them to the editorial chain.
Dr. Billal has pioneered establishment of a number of institutions including the ISESCO Center for Promotion of Scientific Research (ICPSR), Islamic Citation Centre (ISC), Islamic Body on Ethics of Science and Technology (IBEST), Islamic Network of Women Scientists (INWS) and launched a number of projects and strategies of prime importance for the promotion of science and technology in the Islamic World.
