Most of our questions about Garmin's iQue GPS-enabled PDA were answered in a live demonstration.
It turns out that the iQue uses mapping software that is similar to that on the Streetpilot III.
Another interesting note: The iQue will by definition become one of the most accurate timepieces you can carry.
Fortunately, the devices are still compatible with normal DS games from outside China, though normal DS devices can't play games released by iQue.

The iQue M5 shows major highways, thoroughfares, railways, lakes, rivers and borders within its built-in base map of North and South America and Puerto Rico.
Unlike typical handheld GPS units, the iQue will not be ruggedized.
The iQue was one of two new Palm-based handhelds to be announced at the show, the other being Sony 's (nyse: SNE - news - people ) PEG-NZ90.
During our demo, the iQue not only rendered a detailed color map in real time, but the unit allowed us to scroll the map up and down easily using the stylus.
Other Palm OS devices set for the coming months include Palm 's ( nasdaq PALM) Tungsten T wireless device and Garmin 's (nasdaq: GRMN - news - people ) iQue, which includes GPS capability.
As for the Wii, Nintendo did announce that it would launch the console in China in 2008 (and iQue even obtained the CCC in December 2007), but that never happened after it failed to get the other authorities' approval.

So, in addition to the iQue electronic mapping system, which is available at the flick of a switch, you can also easily synch your names, addresses, appointments, tasks and e-mail between the M5 and a PC using the M5's USB cradle.
Well, not in China. iQue's website only lists a handful of major titles that are mostly, if not all, made by Nintendo, including the two aforementioned 3DS titles and six DS titles (Nintendogs, WarioWare, Yoshi's Island DS and more), along with several downloadable DSiWare apps.

Garmin (nasdaq: GRMN - news - people ) says the iQue will be available in the second quarter of this year and, judging from the response to it at last week's International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, there will be a lot of people eager to get their hands on it.
