The steering wheel contains an internal and external ring of sensors, where an airborne waft will activate the turn sensors, one across the top can activate the in-car entertainment and two across the face can control additional functions.
The company also is developing four-wheel-drive technology that powers two wheels with an internal combustion engine and two with an electric motor, eliminating the need for a drive train that takes up floor space, Ho said.
