Once young salmon get to the ocean, scientists have only a vague idea where they go, and an incompleteunderstanding of why some years they thrive and some years they starve.
The study looks at this, and finds that quite a lot - 23% - of the debt overshoot in these ten countries was due to "an incompleteunderstanding of the country's underlying fiscal position on the eve of the crisis".

These findings suggest that our understanding of the causative factors of atherosclerosis is incomplete, and that atherosclerosis could be inherent to the process of human ageing.
