Google will allow users to decide what happens to their data after they die or become inactive online, the first major company to deal with the sensitive issue.
When the screen has been in sleep mode for a few minutes, Wi-Fi and data traffic will be disabled and most applications will be inactive to save battery life.
If you have intentions of allowing a friend or family member to have access to that data, you can set up the service to notify up to 10 people that your account has been inactive for the time you've specified.
