The majority of tax preparers are good people but some may try to encourage taxpayers to claim improper credits, deductions or exemptions in hopes of boosting refunds.
Flawed and improper as such prior oral consent may have been, at least it demonstrates some good faith effort to comply with the concept of getting prior authorization to enter orders.
