The courses and seminars were given by UNESCO officials with the participation of experts from UNIDROIT, INTERPOL, the World Customs Organization, ICOM as well as a specialist of inventories (Object-ID).

Examples of preventive conservation are: appropriate measures and actions for registration, storage, handling, packing and transportation, security, environmental management (light, humidity, pollution and pest control), emergency planning, education of staff, public awareness, legal compliance (source: ICOM-CC definition).

It is envisaged that the cycle of trainings will include 8 thematic trainings and 2 expert meetings carried out in partnership with the leading museums and in close cooperation with the Ministries of Culture and ICOM of CIS countries.
