"I just think it was about the ride and losing myself, getting caught up in that, and doing all those things along the way that enabled that, " he said.
"I really just want an audience to have a good ride and for actors to have fun things to do and then if it's a good play at the end of all that, it doesn't really matter, " he says.
"I'm just staggered to be quite honest that the council could be so insensitive and justride roughshod over local people when there's so much strong feeling about it, " he added.
