Adebayor is eager to build on Tuesday's win when they play Sunderland on Saturday in the Premier League as they look to recover from their shock 2-1 loss to Hull City last weekend.
The company dismissed the action as a "publicity stunt" and said it had proposed the changes because the Hull factory had been "heavily loss-making for the past two years".
Brown's priority clearly lies in the Premier League but the manner of the loss will do little to help Hull's confidence with a game away against Liverpool awaiting them this weekend.
