In responding to my test post, my friend (thanks SL), wise to the possibilities of causing trouble if the report was sent to the crisis hotline, had it sent back to me.
Lest anything slip through, every HCA site displays posters and literature beseeching employees to report a sweeping range of infractions to a supervisor or to call the 24-hour ethics hotline (see box, p. 68).
The editorial also reveals a range of actions in response to the Francis Report, including the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh's intention to establish a confidential standards "hotline" for members witnessing poor quality care.
