The economics of offering TV channels are not the same as long distance (which has a marginal cost of zero more or less) and so there are clouds on the horizon.
"The horizon return this year for an American in fixed income with a passive strategy is approximately zero, " says David Rolley, a portfolio manager at Loomis, Sayles in Boston.
They have sub-zero temperatures to contend with, howling winds and snow, and the only source of meat on the horizon -- a pack of timber wolves -- has its own ideas about the pecking order on the food chain.
