Additional carbon footprint savings will come from reduced office energyconsumption, roadway repairs, urban heating, office construction, business travel and paper usage (as electronic documents replace paper).
Much of the avoided energyconsumption will come from the switch to carbon-neutral district heating (rural households will switch from oil, natural gas, and electric heating to heat pumps and biomass burners).
