Figures may also have been depressed by the fact there were fewer releases this November than a year earlier when Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Lego HarryPotter 5-7 and Modern Warfare 3 were among titles that went on sale.
By far the most anticipated film this fall is HarryPotter and the Deathly Hallows which hits theaters November 19th. (See the trailer at the bottom of this post.) The film is the first part of the final Potter book and the first HarryPotter film to be shown in 3-D.
Fourteen more 3-D movies are scheduled for release this year, including HarryPotter and the Deathly Hallows, which Warner Bros is also converting from 2-D.
Many in Hollywood have been looking forward to the upcoming HarryPotter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 to see if it will start to turn the 3-D box office around.
