Woods, who parted company with swing coach HankHaney following the Masters, did admit that his overall play at Pebble Beach gave him encouragement for the future.
His putting stroke is back, thanks to a tip from Steve Stricker at Doral, his irons are consistent and the swing changes he made in switching from instructors HankHaney to Sean Foley appear to be complete.
Woods, for his part, insists that his work in progress is similar to previous frustrating periods rebuilding his swing with Harmon and then HankHaney -- and he rebounded from those in a stellar career featuring 14 major titles and more than 80 professional victories.
