Lawyers acting for Abdullah Ocalan say they sent strands of his hair for analysis after the prisoner complained of ill health and said he suspected he was being poisoned.
Coroner Dr Fiona Wilcox called his death "absolutely tragic" and called for analysis of hair samples to be considered for future drugs testing by cricket clubs.
Those that we did take were used for radiocarbon dating and palaeodietary analysis, as well as analysis of the gut contents and hair, amongst other items.
