With the Google AdMob acquisition signed off by the Feds, the rumors are that Google will acquire Invite Media (a DSP known primarily for a user interface that enables audience buying across exchanges).
"Unlike the previous version, these new terms ensure that Apple's developers have the choice of a variety of advertising solutions (including Google and AdMob's) to earn money and fund their apps, " Omar Hamoui, Google's vice president of product management, said in a statement.
" As for what Google and AdMob are going to do about it, Hamoui would only say that they're going to be "speaking to Apple to express our concerns about the impact of these terms.
The rollout will give developers an alternative to large mobile ad networks like Google-owned AdMob.

We had a pretty good idea what Google and its AdMob division would think of Apple's new rules on outside advertising companies collecting analytics, but AdMob CEO Omar Hamoui has now spelled it out himself.
Coincidentally, just today Google completed its acquisition of mobile advertising firm AdMob, which almost assures Google will be a key player in the rapidly expanding mobile search and advertising business.

And the Federal Trade Commission is looking into Google's takeover of AdMob, a mobile-advertising firm.
Google added 1, 200 employees in the second quarter of 2010, including 300 employees of AdMob, a mobile advertising company that Google acquired during the quarter.
Omar Hamoui, who founded Admob, which was acquired by Google, recently founded Churn Labs, to specifically incubate mobile app companies.
Nethercutt, who previously ran sales for YouTube and AdMob, both of which were acquired by Google, says Mojiva is growing to challenge the largest players in mobile advertising, including Google and Apple.

AdMob had been negotiating to be acquired by Apple before Google swooped in at the last minute.

Google, which reportedly tried to acquire Yelp in December and recently purchased the mobile advertising firm AdMob, has been clear about its interest in local online content.
AdMob had technology for mobile apps that must have been still newish at the time Google announced its purchase, considering that Bloomberg had to explain apps in its story.
While Google had been making money in the mobile space from their typical search ads when users Googled something, AdMob brought them a platform to make money from web display ads and app display ads.
