In a report last December the Bank of Spain reckoned that the country has a glut of 700, 000-1.1m unsold homes, which will continue to weigh on prices this year.
Not to worry: even the coldest February on record will not be able to run down a glut of gas inventories, which at 3.1 trillion cubic feet remain 11% above five-year averages.
