The eco-rating system assesses 15 specific criteria drawn from five general categories of sustainability attributes - attributes include the usage of environmentally preferable materials, minimization of hazardous substances, energy efficiency, responsible end-of-life treatment and environmentally-responsible manufacturing.
"The My Book Live family has received strong reception from consumers and the WD Red drive offers attributes ideal for small NAS systems, " said Scott Vouri, vice president and general manager of WD's connected home solutions group.
Another reason Walters attributes to growing interest not only in the Dallas Comic Con, but in comic conventions in general, is the success of comic book films -- particularly ones based on Marvel comics.
