An Isle of Man travel consumer group is "astonished" about the decision to drop an inquiry into ferry freight charges.

Reopening a planning inquiry for a rail freight terminal at a former aerodrome near St Albans is "appropriate and necessary", the council has said.

It would also provide a new area for freight trains at Stafford and, subject to the outcome of a public inquiry, a new flyover at Norton Bridge, it said.
