On the Juke, for instance, a click on the phone's scroll wheel brings up a text messaging screen, a calendar or a picture function, just as if a finger were pressing the keys of the real phone.
Given the varying width of real guitar strings, it's much easier to tell what frets we're pressing (and which strings we're finger-picking) on a real instrument without having to look down.
