Despite the predictions by the dowsers - who use pointers to find underground water or minerals - there are no obvious signs that the fields at Greasley Castle Farm were home to a village.
Armed with more sophisticated analysis tools than earlier rover teams, Curiosity scientists have been able to conclusively find the first on-the-ground evidence for the presence of abundant clay minerals within those drilled rocks.
