Markus Brunnermeier of Princeton University, who is on INET's advisory board, is trying to incorporate a richer model of financialbreakdowns into a fairly standard macroeconomic model with the help of Yuliy Sannikov of the University of California, Berkeley.
Each country's bid documents will set out detailed breakdowns of potential host cities and venues, infrastructure, and financial estimates for how much the tournament would cost and how much revenue it would generate.
