One of Mr Felman's clients, a fraudster called Sholam Weiss, was sentenced to 845 years.
When those shady pages hijack toy brands, Felman contends, they're much more likely to sell recalled versions of the items.
"These kind of criminal businesses are drawn to selling online for the same reasons as legitimate businesses, " says Fred Felman, a spokesman for MarkMonitor.
The business-to-business listings are even more troubling, says Felman, because each offer could be a source of contaminated toys that end up on store shelves.
For concerned parents, the key to spotting a recalled toy offered online, says Felman, is checking the listing using the search function on the CPSC's Web site.
The police turned all the evidence over to Anderson County Attorney Frederick Campbell, who ultimately decided not to prosecute the boy that Felman had accused of raping her.

MarkMonitor's Fred Felman agrees that while manufacturers and online selling sites could be more vigilant about tracking recalled products, the burden of protecting children from toxic toys falls on the consumer.
"We have a culture of trying to place blame on the manufacturer or someone else with deep pockets, but ultimately the safety of children is beholden to their parents, " Felman says.
"This is the equivalent of a death penalty for a Web site, " admits Fred Felman, a spokesperson for MarkMonitor, one of the brand management and security firms that would be accredited by the program.
Mark Monitor's Fred Felman says that his group targets more than 500 sites in a typical week and has never had a "false positive, "--in other words, has never mistaken a legitimate site for a phisher.
