The bloated remake, produced for an international market, forsakes subtlety, never mind irony, in favor of consumerist fantasy (Georgia exults in the excesses of her luxury hotel), slapstick action (James Bond meets Mack Sennett as Georgia gets her first snowboarding lesson) and ham-handed social criticism (Georgia gives her company's CEO his comeuppance).
