Meanwhile, the La Colorada (in Mexico), San Vicente (Bolivia) and Manantial Espejo (Argentina) mines posted increases in silver production compared to the third quarter of last year.
The company listed several factors, some of which were decreased by-product credits from lower metals prices, higher development costs in Peru, industry-wide cost pressures and the issues at Manantial Espejo.
Still, the increase at Manantial Espejo was less than anticipated due to delays in commissioning an additional mining fleet that was purchased to accelerate open pit production, Pan American Silver said.
