The Section believes that the work of ERMIS represents a pioneering effort in an area of vital concern to all international organizations, as well as to the broader international community.

Thus it would propose that upon endorsement by ACCIS the ERMIS products be made as widely available as possible through the good offices of the International Council on Archives and its constituent member organizations.

The Section would further propose that, subject to ACCIS concurrence, SIO make its services available to assist ACCIS in connection with the ERMIS recommendation relating to the development of more detailed models of electronic records management functions adjusted to the specific requirements of individual organizations.
