While we cannot assist most of the immigrants today, as they are deceased, their grand children, great-grandchildren, and further generations are here and should be honored for not only the cultural contributions of their ancestors but also the tenacity to emigratefrom what they knew and immigrate to the unknown in America.
This is particularly true of Lebanon, whose 300, 000 Palestinians suffer not just from poverty and exile but from a range of discriminatory laws aimed at making them emigrate.
