Government officials say they continue to be uncomfortable with an EU draftdirective which would force companies to disclose when they have been attacked.
The launch of the video, which is being translated into Portuguese, French and Dutch for wider distribution, coincides with expectation that the European Commission will shortly produce a new draftdirective on the transport of animals.
Managers are particularly exercised by a draft European directive which will impose limits on leverage and greater requirements for transparency, which could limit returns.
Opening the debate, Austrian centre-right MEP Othmar Karas said there were still unresolved issues in Europe before a draft revised directive could be produced.
