Reverse logistics means controlling the flow of material, inventory and finished goods from point of consumption to point of origin, for the purpose of recapturing value or proper disposal.
Parts of the animal which before the BSE and e-coli scares had a market value now carry a disposal charge, while the number of inspectors and monitors has mushroomed.
