The developer said a new station could deliver up to 800 high quality permanent jobs, rising to 1, 000 during maintenance and up to 5, 000 jobs during construction.
The LifeBalance Station is designed to be used with high heels, says its developer Christoph Leonhard, a professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Richard Schofield from Network Rail said plans for a station at the Cambridge Science Park was a definite scheme by the site's developer and would be implemented in the next two to three years.
