In October the American NationalStandards Institute accepted a proposal to develop a system of quality standards to be dubbed AT 9000. (AT stands for automated trading.) Kumiega, Van Vliet and a handful of others, including finance industry professionals, belong to a working group that is drafting the proposed system of standards.
And I want to commend all of you for acting collectively through the National Governors Association to develop common academic standards that will better position our students for success.
The ICT Competency Framework for Teachers aims at helping countries to develop comprehensive national teacher ICT competency policies and standards, and should be seen as an important component of an overall ICT in Education Master Plan.
