The results showed that participants given the fake cigarette as treatment, and who were identified as being heavily dependent on the behavior of smoking, had a quit rate roughly 3.5 times higher than those in the standard-treatment group (67% vs. 19%).
Of course, the key difference between presenting data about physical activity for domesticated dogs versus humans is that dependent pets often cannot change their behavior without outside influences whereas humans will complain about not being able to do so.
