The Pavlopetri Underwater Archaeology Project 2009 is at the start of a five-year study of the site which aims to define the history and development of Pavlopetri.
They define an eyesore building as one, of usually modern architecture, on a high-profile site, strongly visible both in the immediate area and from a distance, and which has resulted in widespread criticism and condemnation.
