Only recently has the first physical dummy for side-impact crashes--the most dangerous type of crash--been approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
His assessment says all of those changes are poorly designed, complicated, and potentially dangerous as drivers try to figure them out and use the system while hurtling down the highway.
"It's the most dangerous thing a teen can do, " said Pam Fischer, former director of the state Division of Highway Traffic Safety and the instructor at West Morris High.
