Many corporations produce an annual CSR or Sustainability Report, but fail to recognize the purpose of the report, which is to document clearly that you understand where your responsibilities lie and what you are committing to do about them over the reporting period.
The firm also joined the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex), a web-based platform and registry where companies report on CSR-related initiatives around business and labor practices, health and safety, and the environment.
The ministry, according to a report in The Economic Times, hopes that the submitted data forms a basis for a review of its CSR policy in coming months.
