In Nicaragua I was taught to have respect for other cultures not by examining theoretical anthropological concepts of cultural relativism (which I did later study), but by having my behavior scrutinized and overtly criticized by the people whose homes had been opened to me as part of the trip.
Others included more effective employee training, extending hours, redesigning the look of its stores to appeal more effectively to younger consumers, and getting rid of the Super-Size option (which had been criticized by health groups and was unfavorably portrayed in the 2004 documentary Super Size Me).
