Rumor has it that about a thousand customers who purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops II for PC today were also treated to a surprise copy of Mass Effect 2.
The first fifty fans affected by this phenomenon to send us a picture holding their special disc 2 will receive a code for a FREE PC copy of Mass Effect Trilogy.
But if you want to sell back Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim to help you pay for half the cost of a physical copy of the game on launch day, I suppose you have that right.
EA's response is that it will now allow five screen names per copy of the game, though it has yet to release details of when the change will take effect.
But if an effect is there, it will always be there unless it is masked by a second, undamaged copy of the gene in question. (There are two versions of most genes in an individual, one inherited from each parent.) That, at least, is the received wisdom.
