Today, the Permanent Delegation continues to work even more closely with UNESCO, Permanent Delegations, Electoral Groups, Regional Groupings like the G 77 and China, the ASEAN UNESCO Committee, and as well other international organizations like the Commonwealth Secretariat in London and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Secretariat in Bangkok, Thailand in addressing some of the current, global challenges that are confronting the organization.

Federal funding is available to commonwealth and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by Hurricane Sandy in Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Nantucket, Plymouth, and Suffolk Counties.
