Miller distinguished himself by extraordinary acts of heroism while serving as the weapons sergeant in Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha 3312, Special Operations Task Force 33, Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force Afghanistan, during combat operations against an armed enemy in Kunar Province, Afghanistan, on January 25th, 2008.

In 2010, I was proud to create the National Equal Pay Task Force to identify and combat equal pay violations.

The task force was set up by the government in July 1997 to recommend measures to help combat racism, improve disabled access, clubs' involvement with their local communities, and encourage more equitable ticket pricing and merchandising.
