But only two of these super-size prints (a self-portrait by Mr. Close and Ms. Carey's abstraction) are seen here, and neither their placement nor the several examples of 20-by-24-inch rints adequately convey the increase in scale (and sharpness of detail) that excited so many artists in the 1980s.
