The Vaio M series is an all-in-one that follows in the footsteps of the Vaio W that's meant to double as a home entertainment center and has a fold-up keyboard, a built-in TV tuner, and comes with a remote control.

One new company, CitiSoles, started by two New York University students, Susie Levitt and Katie Shea, offers a new twist: A ballet flat with a rubber sole that splits in the center, making it easier to fold and tuck into a zippered pouch, which also unfurls into a tote for carrying high heels home at night.

And they can take advantage of wood fold-down airline-like tray tables, a large center console that includes a closed storage compartment and side window shades should they feel the need to get some work accomplished while en route.
